Movements become stronger and a sleep–wake rhythm begins to form.
How your body may feel
- • Stretch marks may appear on the belly, hips or breasts.
- • Increased appetite and occasional cravings.
- • Warm, flushed skin from increased blood flow.
Self-care this week
- • Moisturise skin for comfort.
- • Choose iron and protein at each main meal.
- • Stay hydrated in the heat.
Milestone
Baby's movements start to become predictable.
Seek care urgently if you notice
- • Severe headache that will not clear, or blurred vision and flashing lights
- • Any vaginal bleeding, or fluid leaking from the vagina
- • Sudden swelling of the face, hands or feet
- • Burning or painful urination, or fever
- • Reduced or absent baby movement once a pattern is established
