Eyes begin to open and the baby responds to bright light.
How your body may feel
- • Bump is heavier and posture shifts backwards.
- • Trouble finding a comfortable sleep position.
- • More Braxton Hicks.
Self-care this week
- • Use pillows to support bump and knees at night.
- • Practise slow breathing before sleep.
- • Keep taking iron if prescribed.
Milestone
Anaemia and glucose bloods are often repeated around now.
Seek care urgently if you notice
- • Severe headache that will not clear, or blurred vision and flashing lights
- • Any vaginal bleeding, or fluid leaking from the vagina
- • Sudden swelling of the face, hands or feet
- • Burning or painful urination, or fever
- • Reduced or absent baby movement once a pattern is established
