Trimester 1 · Baby is about a raspberry
The baby is now moving, though far too small for you to feel it. Fingers and toes are separating.
How your body may feel
- • Nausea and tiredness usually continue.
- • Mild cramping as the uterus grows is normal.
- • Skin may look clearer or more oily.
Self-care this week
- • Attend your booking appointment if not yet done.
- • Discuss any long-term medicines with your clinician.
- • Keep folic acid going until at least 12 weeks.
Milestone
Booking visit: bloods, blood pressure and health history.
Seek care urgently if you notice
- • Heavy bleeding, or bleeding with clots
- • Severe pain on one side of the lower abdomen or shoulder tip pain
- • Fever above 38°C
- • Vomiting so much you cannot keep fluids down for 24 hours
- • Fainting or severe dizziness
